We provide an incredible learning experience tailored to meet every child’s ability level, focusing on the fundamentals of basketball, skill development, teamwork, and, of course, fun!

Our state-of-the-art, 9,500 square foot, temperature-regulated indoor facility means our basketball camps run regardless of weather conditions. Inclement weather will never ruin your child’s day camp experience.

Experienced trainers

The experience of our coaches is bar none! Camps are led by former D1 and professional basketball standout Joel Barkers! Joel has years of experience coaching and mentoring young players. The valuable skills and life lessons learned through basketball have allowed Joel to surround himself with a variety of experienced coaches, on and off the court!

Coach Joel

Joel Barkers’ passion for basketball is where You Reach I Teach Basketball Academy started in 2016. Coach Joel was a former Division 1 college athlete playing for The University of Hartford and Central Missouri State. His professional career offered him valuable life and team skills traveling to other countries and adapting to different teams and players.

Throughout his professional career, Joel was blessed with the amazing experience of putting his basketball skill knowledge to the test in Greece, Germany, London, Cheshire, and China. In addition, to Coach Joel’s outstanding overseas professional career, he played in the NBA Development League with the NBA’s Denver Nuggets.

Coach Will

Coach Will was the #1 2021 player in the state of North Dakota all through his Highschool career.

Coach Matt

Originally from Alabama, Coach Matt played collegiate ball for Enterprise State Community College, helping lead his team to the state quarterfinals two years in a row. He then played D2 at Eastern New Mexico University. However, his collegiate career ended the following year due to COVID.

Once COVID restrictions were lifted, he began playing ball in Ukraine. Due to the Russian invasion, he returned to the States and began living in the DMV area. Not a stranger to adversity and change, Coach Matt not only offers players his professional skills but is an example of mental toughness and a positive attitude.

Coach Zane

Zane Martin was a Division 1 standout who played for Towson University as well as the University of New Mexico. During his college career, Zane was ranked in the top 10 of the CAA in several categories, and led the team in points, assists, field goals made, and free throws made.

Coach Zane is only the 28th player in Towson history to score over 1,000 points as a Tiger. He finished seventh all-time in program history for points scored in a single season with 635. He is the only player in Towson men’s basketball history to score at least 30 points in a single half. Professionally he played in Sweden.

Time

Our day camps run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM EDT, giving your child plenty of time to learn the fundamentals of basketball, play games, and make memories with new friends. The atmosphere for campers is guaranteed to be a fun-filled day, rain or shine!
